Welcome

Hello and Welcome to “The Old Lady In My Bones”.

This is a blog about arthritis and what it’s like to live with this disease. Most people think arthritis is associated with the elderly, but it is a disease that touches people of all ages. I was diagnosed with early Rheumatoid arthritis in my thirties. I will share my experiences , as well as the experiences of others, through stories, prose and even the occasional poem. I hope to create a positive outlook on living with arthritis. I believe the human spirit has the ability to endure and the strength to make necessary changes in the face of life’s challenges.

I will post once or twice a week and respond to comments, suggestions, stories, links and resources others would like to share.

This is my first blogging experience and I look forward to the journey.

Best,

J.G. Chayko

Hi, I see you are open to information about resources that help RA. My sister uses a PackaPouch to help her lift and carry items up and down her stairs, especially useful for her washing/ laundry.
You can see in here at http://www.packapouch.co.uk
Let me know if you think this is a good tool.

    Thanks.

Thank you very much for your kind words. I hope your good days outnumber the bad. I don’t have a book at the moment, I am working on several smaller projects. I am, however, working towards the goal of having book in the future. Stay well and keep your chin up.
      All the best, J.G. Chayko
